Below, we bring you the list of the 10 footballers with the most appearances in the history of Red Star Belgrade.

10. MIRKO IVANIC – 289 MATCHES

The modern Red Star playmaker established himself as one of the club’s key players after arriving in 2019. So far, he has scored 96 goals in 289 appearances.

9. VLADICA POPOVIC – 291 MATCHES

The man who made 291 appearances for Red Star and won the Yugoslav championship five times as a player. However, fans perhaps remember him even more for winning the Intercontinental Cup in 1991, when he led the club as head coach.

7. MILAN RODIC – 294 MATCHES

Tied for seventh place with 294 appearances each are Milan Rodic and Rajko Mitic. Popularly known as “Roda,” Milan Rodic was an indispensable part of Red Star’s defense during the club’s return to the biggest European stage.

7. RAJKO MITIC – 294 MATCHES

The legendary Red Star icon and the man after whom the club’s stadium is named today. He played 294 matches for the club and scored 109 goals.

6. BOSKO DJUROVSKI – 299 MATCHES

An essential member of the Red Star team during the 1980s, Boško Đurovski played 299 matches for the red-and-whites and scored 103 goals.

5. ALEKSANDAR KATAI – 308 MATCHES

How many times did the northern stand echo with chants of “Katai Magiko” after Aleksandar Katai’s moments of brilliance? The player from Srbobran slowly but surely carved his path toward cult status at Red Star. He is currently the club’s second all-time top scorer, achieving that feat while making 308 appearances for the club.

One of the fans’ favorites, Jovan “Kule” Acimovic always left his heart on the field for the club he loved. Between 1965 and 1976, he made a total of 318 appearances in the red-and-white jersey.

3. VLADIMIR PETROVIC “PIZON” – 332 MATCHES

The fourth Red Star Star, Vladimir Petrovic “Pizon,” played for the club from 1972 to 1982. He made 332 appearances for Red Star and scored 49 goals.

2. BORIVOJE “BORA” KOSTIC – 341 MATCHES

The club’s all-time leading scorer with 230 goals. He reached that incredible tally after playing 341 matches for Red Star, which places him second on our list.

1. DRAGAN DZAJIC – 389 MATCHES

A true legend of Red Star Belgrade. Both as a player and later as a club official, he led the red-and-whites to major successes. He played 389 matches for the club and scored 155 goals. Those 389 appearances make him the all-time appearance record holder in Red Star history.
