The UEFA Europa League table for the 2025-26 season is available below:
💡 The UEFA Europa League is the second most prestigious European club football competition. It was originally founded as the “UEFA Cup” and has been played since the 1971–72 season. Starting from the 2009–10 season, the competition underwent a rebranding and format change, adopting its current name.
Beginning with the 2024–25 season, a new league-phase system was introduced for the first time. Each team plays six matches in the so-called league phase, followed by the knockout stage. The top eight teams after the league phase automatically qualify for the Round of 16, while teams placed from 9th to 24th compete in a playoff round to determine the remaining eight spots in the Round of 16.
Spanish club Sevilla holds the record for the most titles, having won the competition seven times. Interestingly, they claimed their first title only in the 2005–06 season, and they remain the only team to have lifted the trophy three consecutive times (from 2014 to 2016). The all-time top scorer in UEFA Cup/Europa League history is Sweden’s Henrik Larsson with 40 goals. The winner of the Europa League earns automatic qualification for the following season’s UEFA Champions League.
