In Vrsac, a future playmaker of Serbian basketball is emerging – Vanja Taslic. At just 17 years old, this young talent is already part of the first team of KK Vršac competing in the Basketball League of Serbia. Here’s his story:

CLUB CAREER
Despite Vršac’s loss to Radnički, basketball fans in Kragujevac had the chance to witness something new, different, and refreshing. At the start of the third quarter, Vršac was trailing by 30 points, and it looked like the deficit could grow even larger. At that moment, Vršac’s coach Vladimir Lučić decided to put the 17-year-old Vanja Tašlić into the game.
In just a short span, Vršac managed to fight back and reduce the deficit to only 11 points, largely thanks to the young point guard’s energy. During that comeback run, Tašlić recorded 2 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds, significantly speeding up the tempo and bringing stability to his team’s offense. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for a complete turnaround, but even Radnički’s coach praised his performance, showing the strong impression Vanja left.
Although this was his first senior-level appearance, his maturity and confidence did not go unnoticed. Based on this debut, it’s safe to say we are witnessing the beginning of a promising career.
