Unlike some of the previous seasons, the Serbian colony in the NBA will not be as large in 2025/26. Nevertheless, Serbia will have six potential players and one head coach in the new season of the world’s strongest basketball league. Below, we present each of them.

NIKOLA JOKIC

The three-time NBA MVP begins his 11th season with the Denver Nuggets. He will try to lead the team to a second championship title, following the one in 2023 when he was named Finals MVP.

BOGDAN BOGDANOVIC

The captain of the Serbian national basketball team enters his ninth NBA season. This will be his first season starting with the Clippers since joining the Los Angeles team.

NIKOLA JOVIC

One of the players Miami’s head coach Erik Spoelstra counts on most seriously, Jovic is entering his fourth season with the Heat. He is expected to play a key role for the team in the 2025/26 season.

TRISTAN VUKCEVIC

After making his debut for Serbia at EuroBasket 2025, he begins his third season with the Washington Wizards. Late last season, Tristan showed he is capable of being one of the team’s leading players.

NIKOLA TOPIC

A bright young Serbian talent, even though he missed the entire previous season due to injury, still won an NBA championship with Oklahoma. In the coming season, he is expected to earn minutes for the team led by league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

NIKOLA DJURISIC

Djurisic spent the entire previous season in the G League with the College Park Skyhawks. However, Atlanta clearly sees him as part of their long-term plans, as he recently signed a multi-year contract with the Hawks.

DARKO RAJAKOVIC

Rajakovic will begin his third season as head coach of the Toronto Raptors, hoping for a more successful year after finishing the last one with a 30–52 record. The Cacak native is doing a solid job given the circumstances, though it’s certain that his ambitions also include fighting for a playoff spot.

Finally, let’s mention Ognjen Stojakovic, who will once again serve as one of the assistant coaches on the Denver Nuggets’ staff. He has been part of the franchise since 2013.
